I installed a 4 deg. trigger wheel last Thursday and went out on a short (230 miles) run with some riders from Chapter Q in Washington. So far I like the fact that it starts easier but I am not quite sold on the "power" claims of some, but I can definitly say that my miliage did go down. 37 mpg. I went last year 800 miles on a 2-up trip and never got under 40 mpg. I am going to leave it on probably all summer and see what happens. This is just a FYI for those who are curious.

I'm interested in which grade of fuel you are using with the trigger wheel.

I also just installed a 6 deg. trigger wheel last Thursday I also installed a one step colder champion plugs, and changed the oil. I did notice a slightly quicker throttle response but I still need to use a little choke when starting cold which is not a problem. Some reported that they no longer to use the choke.
It's tricky working around all those water hoses, air hoses and what ever those small hoses were but its done now. I also will leave my tw in and closely watch the miliage.

I have a '90 SE. I put a 4 degree wheel on a year ago, and it is still there because I just am not ready to go through the hassle of removing it right now. If it has made any improvement, it is so small as to be not noticeable. There are so many variations from day to day with temperatures, wind factor, speed, terrain traveled, etc., etc., etc. that one day I may get good mileage, the next day not so good. Haven't noticed any significant, steady improvement in my mpg numbers overall during the past year. The only thing I have noticed is that the bike will ping under load if I don't use 91/92 octane. Never heard a ping before using 85/97 octane. I think I am paying for premium gas now to keep the same mileage that I had before using regular. Not too worried about getting extra "oomph" on the throttle, since I don't make a practice of racing the Wing anyway. I know there are those out there that have experiences both ways, but I'm going to change mine back to the stock TW when I find a nice warm afternoon.

Cliff again: sorry the one octane listing should say 85/87 (not /97).
