LIVING IN CALIFORNIA :)

To MOM .....in Seattle, Washington
From your daughter...Abigal.......in Los Angeles

Dear Mom:
As I watch the inaugural, I am still crushed that Al Gore did notget in office. Look at that Texas jerk with the cowboy hat on!! What a disgrace. And look how immoral he is.......gettinga ticket for drunken driving 24 years ago !!

And....aren't you so excited? Jesse Jackson has a new child !! I sent him $5. I used to send him $50.......but my electric bill was $2,345 last
month, and I was short of cash. That is not bad though...Susan's bill was $3000 because she has a TWO bedroom apartment. I am hoping to meet Jesse's new girl friend out here. I think she is living with his other girl friend from 1996. (Or maybe it was the 1994 one....I forgot.)

I love California.........everything is so "environmentally correct" here. And all our liberal friends are in power now. I am sure glad we demonstrated against building all those power plants 8 years ago.......or else this state
would be polluted like Texas and Georgia.

My friends and I are going out tomorrow to demonstrate against that nuclearpower plant they recently re-opened. We shut that down in 1994, and I think some darn Republican so-n-sos are re-opening it. Probably just to keep
the businesses going. GEEZ!!

Well......don't call me on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays because those are the designated days with no electricity. :( Not on Tuesdays or Thursdays
either.....cause those are the designated days with no water or phones. :(
Call me on Saturday between 3 and 4 pm....usually we have power then. :) I don't understand why states with lots of power like Texas and Georgia don't try to help us out. :(

We won't have to worry much longer about pollution because all the businesses are shutting down, and there is no jet fuel for the airlines.
And gas is $8.50 a gallon...so no one can afford to drive.

I LOVE California !! Thank God for the Democrats !!
Love......your daughter.......Abigale

OK, let me tell you how I really feel. California is paradise. The main reason that I don't want any of you, and I mean any, to move here is we already have enough people in paradise and we don't need anymore!!!!

I remember when I was a little boy in Chicago. I haven't forgotten putting on long woolen underclothes, galoshes, two pairs of pants, two shirts, one sweater, goggles, earmuffs, mittens and wool hats before I went school.

I also remember steam heat, watching the delivery man bring 500 gallons of heating fuel every winter, falling down on the ice, and general uncomfortable winters, summers, springs, and falls.

Now let me tell you how I really feel. The worst day in California is better than the best day anywhere else! :O:O:O:O:O:O:O

Been to Yosemite, Redwood forest, Pacific ocean and or the desert lately ???
California has it all, really !
This damn awful weather; lately, kept me an hour longer than I wanted too be at the local Starbucks...but I finally managed to get out on the back roads (smelling the orange blossoms) around nine am and managed too get only afew hundred miles in !
Ain't it great ???? Shssssss....I .. M E A N .. A W F U L !!!! ~¿ô

Hey G-Man,
My DI in his wecoming speel, "Welcome to Calif- -
land of Q _ _ _ rs and Steers, but his is Boot Camp, Your A _ _ is grass and I'm the lawnmower"
But from what I've heard most of the steers are gone, so whats in paridise? :)
Don't ya miss good pizza, cut Chicago style, Italian sausage or beef sandwichs on hard french rolls? Cann't get it out there.

We got all of that stuff, Yupper. Besides, that's only food. We're talking about real paradise here.

The so-called "California energy crisis" is bogus. Some dumb politicians wrote some stupid regulatory laws and completely unbalanced the system. I'm not concerned for the long-term at all. I'll just buy a Honda generator like everybody else, fill it up with $2.50/gallon regular and forget about the whole thing.

Bush won't do anything for California since he didn't get our 54 electoral votes. We will do it on our own, right after Gray Davis leaves office He hasn't a clue as to what to do.

As to Mr. Bush, I'll remember how quickly he dismissed us right after he was elected. I'm a fairly conservative fellow and I have been a republican. On the other hand, Mr. Bush is looking more and more like a one-term president to me.

Regards to all

Let me get this straight, Calif went for Gore hook, line & sinker. Now you're upset because Bush isn't feeling sorry for you. :(
GMan, remember starting to go visit a friend of the wife's who lived in West Covina one Sunday, the closer we got the worse the smog was, turned around and went to State Park north of where Nixon had his left coast retreat. That's paradise????
Still cann't get food like that out there.

We don't have to worry about California. Why, in a few years, it'll look just like Texas! :)

By G. Mann on Sunday, April 08, 2001 - 05:32 pm:

Yupper,

Get something straight. Mr. Bush was elected to be the president of all of us. I voted for him. So did 49% of all others in California.

So, you won't be moving here anytime soon? I can handle it. I was considering moving to Texas until I found out that most of the towns don't have sidewalks. Ha. :O
