I just saw a program on "The Learning Channel". It was a program made in England showing all the stupid things that drivers do in England.

Of special note, they said the biggest cause of single vehicle motorcycle accidents was diesel fuel spills by large trucks and showed examples of some spills. Diesel fuel is very slippery.

Too late again Joe in Ga. Gave nomination for friendfinder to my lady partner, who has been member for a while, now dishing out applications with my number on.
Dave, our website co-ordinator has just "volunteered" to get it soerted, so hang on there, things are a moving. He is Andy Knapp, a regular contributor to these pages.
You are so right Bill, diesel is still wastefully spilled from trucks, on corners and our lovely roundabouts, and I say wastefully, for it costs more than gas here, and thats about 5 times what you pay! It's just like riding on ice, but usually you can smell it before you have to ride over it, so some little warning is given, allowing the old sphincter muscles to contract a bit while you steer a gentle path over the spill.
Yes guys, riding motorcycles in UK is very skilled, if success and old age is what you hanker after. See you around, when I get over for Wing Ding, with 1800 as well.

If I ever get a chance to go to the Uk again.(lived there for awhile and then visited again yrs later.)..I'd like to rent a motorcycle for touring. Are there rentals and what do the rent for? Or would car be cheaper?
