I must compliment this board for all the useful information and tips concerning Trikes. We have just put a 2001 MT kit on our 98SE and just dearly love it already. About 600 miles on it and have found all the air pressures etc that suits our riding. I don't have any rake yet, but just from everyones conversations I am pretty much looking at the 3 degree set up. We have been riding for 45 years now and this is truley the safest we've ever felt on a bike. I'm 65 and am hoping for another 5-10 years of safe riding. Hope to see you all down the road somewhere.

Welcome Ken to the Sig and to Trikes. We have a Motortrike which we got a couple of months ago. We have about the same riding experience and share your feeling of safety. If you are like us you will find it is not only safe it is just a lot of fun to be introduced to a different kind of riding. I am 62 lets hope we have at least 20 years left to ride.

I to find this SIG a lot of help.

Ken........welcome to Trike SIG......We had our 95SE done last August with Motor Trike. It feels so safe now not having to worry about dropping it when turning around.....I've done that needless to say like most others.
I did put a Tulsa windshield on it and makes a big difference in wind turbulance. Get ust to the wind coming up in front of the fenders...they all do it. You won't ever get ust to people gathering around to look and ah and uh when you stop for gas. It's fun. Ride safe and enjoy.

Ken,
I'm not as mature as some of these other guys, I'm only 53 and been riding since I was 13. We triked ours 2 yrs ago with a CSC unit. We love it and all the folks who wondered why we tiked it are usally heading home before us. I have to be honest with you as much as we love our Trike we have found a major problem with it and I beleive you will find it in all trikes. You can't make any more quick stops for gas or what ever do to the crowds that collect to talk about your trike. I guess it's just the cross we have to carry for having so much fun. Go out and and have fun and think about us that just got more of that S word today.

As Jim and Sue say-- One of the main reasons for not having an extra gas tank is to let the rest of the world enjoy looking at your Trike more often. We're the old folks at 73, but can still keep up with the young ones as long as we can climb up on a Trike. :)

I bought my Trike in October. Been riding for 40 yrs. Never knew it could be so much fun. They are right about drawing a crowd. I've ridden all winter up here in Mass. and got some hearty thumbs up in inclement weather.
Just don't forget you don't have to put your feet down!!!
Enjoy

You're right Jim & Sue, it is a real problem keeping all the drooling off the trike. Maybe thats why I got the extra fuel cell??? Just kidding Bud, gee you don't look that old......
Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Ken (again),
& all you lovely Co-riders,

Did the CSC trike thing to my '89 Wineberry in December of '99. I never ever thought that I would get so much enjoyment out of three wheels. I basically did it because of a "Skittish" co-rider, my old (now 66) tired legs and various & sundry other reasons.. You really only need one reason to do it & that's because they are so much FUN-FUN-FUN!!!!!!! My wife of 19 years totally hated motorcycles, now all I here is "When are we going again" & she never fails to see a bike when there is one within sight...ENJOY - ENJOY - ENJOY
