Spark firing noise and 83 Parts

I am looking for some advice on my 82 Interstate. I have corrected the rectifier noise in my intercom/radio but still have ignition noise popping in the headsets. Do I need new wire ends and insulators or how is it picking up the noise?
I bought a radioshack heavy duty noise suppressor but won't install it yet as I am not sure it will stop the engine ignition noise/popping, will it only stop alternator noise? I would like to be able to talk to my wife without the popping. I do have new NGK resistor plugs but never have changed wires or insulators. Bike has 20k on it.

I might be shooting in the dark but I would also like to find someone parting out an 83 Asp to buy their trunk rack mount for more passenger room and their engine guards for more foot room.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks 82Winger kevin.richter@gte.net

The poping is from RF energy emitted as a plug
fires. The Radio Shack kit Is a small choke & ca-
pacitor designed to surpress noise that has been
introduced to a given vehicle's 12v elec. sys.

If your intercom is picking up the noise thru the
+12 (pwr) side of the curcuit; the Radio Shack kit
should either reduce or eliminate the the noise.
If the niose is being picked up by the headset
coils, the kit will do nothing.

OEM HONDA Plug wires are not known to be the
best in terms of RF noise suppression. You might
want to replace them. I use ACCEL 8.8 wires, the
intercom's silent as a church mouse.

If you do install the kit, connect it to the wire(s)
feeding the intercom/audio sys. It should be installed
as close as possible to the equipment
it's intended for. Inside the fairing is fine.

There is add'l info on this subject in the
archives.

Thanks JRAY,

I'll look into your recommends further! Did I say I do or don't want to hear my wife popping off as much?
