Does anyone on the list have knowledge of where to purchase a rectifier for a 78 Wing at a reasonable price?Quoted $185 new at a dealer and that seems excessive!!!Took readings of this unit as per Clymer and it shows no good.Are there any substitute rectfiers that could perform the same function with slight modification?Help!!!!

Try www.partsfish.com or www.servicehonda.com. They are usually 30% - 40% less than the dealer. You may want to try a different dealer, as I have seen great differences on the exact same part.

Also, Saber Cycle (http://209.15.161.147/) has combo regulators/rectifiers for around 120. Although I have not had any problems with them (the company), many on this site have, citing bad service and awful return policies.
