On my 1988 goldwing I just purchased the on board compresser worked when I first got the bike but now when I depress the PCheck button I get nothing, I checked the main fuse and the fuses that the repair manual stated to check they seem ok, I took the fairing pocket off and all wires and hoses appear to be fine, any Ideas

If you have an auxiliary air-line attached to the air outlet inside the right saddlebag, the compressor will not function.
It is okay to run the suspension with "0" psi.....

Your second question is the tip off. If the LED panel is not showing anything, one of the safety's that stop the air system from working while riding is the problem. You have to be stopped AND in neutral for the compressor to read the suspension pressure or pump air to the suspension. If you are parking in gear or reverse it may not work. If the bike IS in neutral, the switch that signals the compressor that you are in neutral could be bad.

You guys saved me. I have always checked the bike on the center stand and this time I reached down and put in and out of gear while pressing on the p check button, whatever I did worked I heard the relay kick in I havent heard that sound in awhile, and my pressure showed. I was able to work the compresser, even in gear, must be a switch going out.. but I am glad it is working now.. Thanks to all Rookie Randy 88 GL1500

What is the correct maximum pressure for the rear shocks? Just standard shocks, not progressive.
