I have a 2001 1800, my question is this, why do some of the Cb radios have different power outputs,we checked the power on my unit and it was only putting out 3 watts I know of some that are putting out 4 to 5 watts,is there a way you can turn up the power in the radio?

1st. have the swr set, then make sure the unit is securely grounded, sand off all painted connections in the trunk. I also ran another ground wire. I use an air/rider h/s with the powered mike, my replacement cb is doing better than the 1500's now. btw, honda is supposed to have the modulation and squelch cure in jan. 02.......

The output power of you CB should be 3 to 4 watts, and 4 watts is the maximum. There is nothing legal you can do to increase your output power beyond 4 watts. Double check all your connections, particularly the grounds, and make sure the various allen head screws on the antenna are tight.
