Is this event scheduled for 2002? If so, when & where? I believe it used to be held in Tucson in February.

Go to the website for MotorcycleEvents.com and you will find a lot of info there for Rallys, rides and events, including Arizona Bikeweek.

April 5th to 14th in Scottsdale. It's always been in Scottsdale, but there are rides, if you can call 'em that, to other remarkable scenic locations like Harley of Tucson. You can also take in the All Harley drag races where no bike that could beat a Harley is even permitted to race. It's great fun watching those sputtering, misfiring pieces of crap limping down the strip.

Unless you're riding a Harley and want to pretend you're a real bad-ass dude, get drunk, badmouth other brands, and ride stupid with no helmet, this rally is a waste of time and money - a lot of money. After last year, Fred Rau called it "Arizona Bilk Week." It's just an "I'm okay, you're okay" mutual admiration get-together for yuppie Harley owners. Riders of other brands are tolerated, though. Just bring money, and be prepared to listen to guest speakers like Tom Sneva putting down "rice burners."

If some one called my pride and joy a "sputtering misfiring piece of crap" I would not even TOLERATE him.
I stopped riding Harleys for many reasons, one of wich is the snobery. I thought Wingers were better than that! I guess not.
If you ride on 2 wheels or 3, no matter the make or model you are welcome to ride with me any time.
Nick

Nicholas,
The brand snobbery that you left behind is highly visible at that rally, and it's exactly what I'm complaining about.

As for the sputtering crap, I'm referring specifically to the bikes that were running on that particular drag strip on that day. Regardless of whether they were Harleys, Hondas, or Sakapoopis, they were indeed crap. I was there, and that's my opinion.

You take my comment out of context and use it to hang a snob label on Wingers in general? Sorry, Nicholas. These message boards aren't exactly Mr. Rodgers' Neighborhood. You need to grow a thicker skin.
